Introducing Ourselves

We are the Concepcionist Family. Our official name is: Missionaries Teaching Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.

Even though we are in four Continents and fifteen Countries, we feel as belonging to the same family.

We received an inheritance:” The Concepcionist charism “ through our Foundress, M. Carmen de Jesus Salles.

Our mission in the world is educating the minds and the hearts of children and youth who are entrusted to us, through the educational ministry, with a commitment of fervour, generosity and qualified professional education.

Our educational – pastoral ministry takes place basically in the school. There are other environments in which our educational ministry expands its activities: as residence for university girls, shelter houses, centers of spirituality houses, families, parishes, means of communication.

We are opening ways in collaboration with lay people and religious, sharing charism, espirituality and Concepcionist mission.

Our communities want to be “Immaculate Mary Houses” where we live our vocation and practice our mission. Mary Immaculate is in the midst of our garden.

To Mary we lift our hearts frequently asking her for help, so she can teach us to educate as she did.

The educational centers are like a garden where God placed us, so it must be cultivated by all the Concepcionist educators, together with the families.

We attend all social classes, paying special attention to the most needy.

The Congregation became “Soil of Blessing.” according to Carmen de Jesus Salles words and we feel to be called to inherit God `s Blessing. The missionary push takes us to open new ways and horizons try to reproduce the apostolic zeal, creativity and strength of our foundress.
